ABOUT ME

A native Iowan, I spent my years after high school living in different cities including Nashville, TN and Tulsa, OK. After realizing sound engineering school was not for me, I dipped in and out of the event industry as a performer and part of the production crew for large concerts and special events. I moved back to Iowa and continued chasing my passion for performing music.  After a handful of years performing around the US I hit the jackpot, got married in Vegas by Elvis, and now have a wonderful family with a beautiful wife and two boys. When my wife and I were expecting our first child we knew a starving artist's wage wasn't going to be enough, so I decided to go back to school to get a degree in an industry I have a lot of passion for. I am currently a senior majoring in event management at Iowa State University with an expected graduation in the spring of 2019. I am still a musician, and I currently play the upright bass with Matthew James and the Rust Belt Union. I work in the event center at Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino, and after graduation I want a position in an organization that coordinates community events.
